There are a bunch of new features added that didn’t exist in the 1.6.0 version of Freelancer and a bunch of features in the 1.6.0 version of freelancer that were not included in any way in this mod. The new name is to emphasize that this is a separate mod with different features and mechanics even if the overarching idea of serving as a soldier in a party is still the same. The previous name of “Freelancer Template” was just a placeholder name while I was adding in the core features and figuring out the overall direction of the mod. I have decided to change the name of this mod due to a lot of common misconceptions and incorrect assumptions that people have with that name.
